No Video Needed #4 – PS3 IZ THE MOST AWESOMEST!!11!ONE!

video

I’m currently in the process of putting together a series of blog posts with my opinion of each of the 3 current generation consoles.  Meanwhile, I was perusing the Sarcastic Gamer forums, and stumbled upon a thread started by Dakkster which contained some videos posted by a vehement Trey – sorry, PS3 – fanboy.  Why he calls it Trey, I have no earthly idea.  But a couple of his works of comical delusion can be found after the break! (Warning : There is quite a bit of swearing in these)

One Biiiiiillion Games!

halo3pic

Bungie’s golden goose, Halo 3, has hosted over 1 billion Xbox Live matches, according to the creators themselves.    Halo 3 was released over a year ago and pretty much every Xbox 360 owner I know has a copy.  And I’ve probably played them all at some point.   There’s some more info and amazing stats after the break.

I Sends Some, I Gets Some Back

trade

I’ve been threatening to write about this for a while.  And since I’ve nothing better to do, I’ll write about it now.  (And I’m waiting for World of Goo to download)  For most people, when you’ve finished a game and want to get rid of it, you’ll take it down to your local branch of Game or Gamestation and trade it in.  And if you’re lucky, you might get half the price of a new game for it.  Personally, I got tired of having to trade in 3 games to get anywhere near the price of a new one.  So, after hearing about PlaySwitch on Sarcastic Gamer, though it isn’t available in the UK at the time of writing, I decided to see if there were similar services available.  And I had somewhat mixed results.

State Of The Blog Address

Just thought I would post an update on recent goings on in the blog, and with the staff generally.  Just for anyone who reads this blog regularly.

I’m going to be cutting back on the news aspect of this blog a little bit, and concentrate more on my opinions and thoughts.  The main reason for this is that I have recently joined the editorial staff over at Brutal Gamer, where I am writing mostly news articles.  There is a link to the site under the ‘Author Links’ section on the right hand side of the page, if you want to see the stuff I’m doing over there.

Also in the ‘Author Links’ is a link to ajofknowledge’s personal blog, ‘Kicking The Gravel’, which deals with general stuff and whatever he feels like writing at the time.

Finally, there is a link to my Twitter page.  If you want to know what boring, mundane crap I’m up to right now, why not check that out and follow my dross?

I will continue to post the weekly release lists, as well as reviews and opinions on games that I am currently playing, but the industry news stuff will be taking a back seat.  Not that I posted a lot about it, but ah well.

So enjoy!

Odyssey Makes Me Want A Fantasy

odyssey

I was intrigued by Lost Odyssey for a while.  I always wanted to play it, and I got a copy through Goozex about a week or so ago.  I’m only about 2-3 hours into the game, and I’m currently loving it, even though I haven’t even scratched the surface of this game.  But it’s made me want a game that I wasn’t initally going to rush out and buy on release.  You’ll be not at all surprised to find out what it is.  And you can find out after the jump.

NTN Review – Noby Noby Boy (PS3)

nobynobyboy

Compared to the Xbox Live Arcade, the PlayStation Store doesn’t seem to get a lot of downloadable games released for it.  Over the course of the Spring, however, Sony have declared that there will be at least one new downloadable game on the PSN every week.  Whether this is a happy coincidence or not, I don’t know.  Anyway, the most recently released game is the curious Noby Noby Boy.  (FKA Nobi Nobi Boy)  Take a step into the surreal after the break.
